RUSSIA
I lived in the Soviet Union and later Russia for three years, so this portfolio is of
particular importance to me. These photographs were taken during a trip back to
visit friends and see the May Day gathering of WW II veterans near Red Square, and
photograph on the streets and in the markets. I spent time talking to almost all of the
people I photographed, an important part of the experience.
