ANTARCTICA
Both the Antarctica peninsula and the islands of S. Georgia have dramatic wildlife and
landscapes. The King penguins of S. Georgia particularly on Gold Beach are scarcely
afraid of humans and very curious, coming up to peck at your boots if you stay still. But
they are fierce defenders of their eggs and chicks against the skuas that prey on them.
